Shell ginger is a member of the ginger family, and its fragrance is sweet with a hint of spiciness.
It is a familiar plant in Okinawa, where people have eaten rice cakes wrapped in Shell ginger leaves for centuries.
Recently, Shell ginger tea has been attracting attention. It is also known for its high content of polyphenols, which inhibit active oxygen and are effective against cerebral infarction and arteriosclerosis.

Essential oils and aromatic distilled water (floral water) are mainly used for skin care purposes.
It contains a large amount of 1.8 cineole, which has immunomodulating and anti-inflammatory effects, and is also effective as an insect repellent, antibacterial, disinfectant, and deodorant, but due to its low oil extraction rate and high price, it is often used in skin care products. Ginger plants are said to warm the body and make women more beautiful, and this gingko essential oil has the same effect.
With its excellent moisturizing, firming and antioxidant properties, this essential oil is especially recommended for anti-aging purposes.

Jyuhachinichi shell ginger essential oil is distilled from island shell ginger grown without agricultural chemicals in Nakijin, the main island of Okinawa Prefecture, and aged for more than a year under controlled temperature to enhance its fragrance. Only about 100g of essential oil can be extracted from 100kg of leaves, making it a valuable and expensive essential oil.
